5 Private tours of Sri Lanka designed for travel after Covid-19
We are all travel dreaming and longing for a time when we can pack our bags again and head to the airport with the anticipation of knowing that we are hours away from a new place and a new journey. While we don’t know yet when international travel might resume, what we know is travel WILL return and many of us will be eager to go.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is one of the places we are most looking forward to visiting again. At the moment, the staff at Sri Lanka Unbound are using our time in the office to develop new tours, itineraries and travel that our clients (you!) will not only enjoy but will also feel comfortable and safe experiencing when travel resumes.
For news and updates regarding Sri Lanka’s re-opening and information about travel procedures and protocols which have been implemented to keep travellers safe, visit the official website of Sri Lanka Tourism Hello Again. #1 Wellness Sri Lanka
Though it may surprise some travellers, Sri Lanka has a long history of wellness practices, borrowed from its neighbouring India. Ayurvedic medicine and treatments have been traditionally used in Sri Lanka. In the recent past, some wonderful accommodation options, located in beautiful natural environments, have added a focus on wellness. These include customised spa treatments and delicious wholesome food.
This 15-day itinerary commences from the luxurious boutique property, The Wallawwa, close to the international airport in Colombo. From here, travel to the country’s central highlands to indulge in some of Sri Lanka’s best spa treatments for four nights.

The Wallawwa Hotel
Afterwards escape to one of the most stunning and peaceful parts of the island, the tea country. Sri Lanka’s lush, green tea country is known for its crisp mountain air and cooler climates and luxury plantation stays. It is also a perfect place to see and experience the colonial influences that are evident to this day.
This itinerary is also about balance, and as such includes a stay on the south coast with a focus on yoga and meditation before concluding with a boutique hotel stay near the coast.
