Depart for Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle and your first stop at the Dambulla Cave Temples, considered to be the largest, best- preserved cave temples in Sri Lanka. With its impressive collection of Buddha statues, this site often leaves a lasting impression on visitors. Continue to Thirappane and your accommodation at Ulagalla resort.
An entire day to enjoy the facilities and activities at Ulagalla luxury resort. Linger over a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, bicycle around the hotel’s expansive grounds, swim in the large main pool, or enjoy the privacy of your own plunge pool. Visit Anuradhapura, the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka that today remains an active religious site. Join pilgrims at the sacred Bodhi tree and see some of the main stupas of Anuradhapura. Return to your luxury hotel, Ulagalla, for the afternoon at leisure.
Start the day with a visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the most popular places to visit in Sri Lanka. Make the taxing climb up 1,200 steps to the top of the rock, stopping to see the famous Sigiriya cave frescoes during your climb. Afterwards, proceed to Madulkelle Tea & Eco Lodge, which sits nestled on a picturesque tea plantation with stunning views of the Knuckles Mountain Range.
Enjoy the day at Madulkelle. Soak up the views from your private verandah, swim in the infinity pool or take one of the lodge’s optional activities. You may choose a yoga class, indulge with a massage, take a cooking class, visit the nearby village or learn about the history of tea (all direct payment).
Drive to Kandy and board a scenic scheduled flight to Weerawila. On arrival, continue by vehicle to Yala and your accommodation at the outstanding Chena Huts. Surrounded by the beach, the jungle and the lake, soak up the natural beauty around you. Morning at leisure to explore Galle. You may choose to stroll the almost-car-free streets, visiting the many small boutiques of the city and lingering in its modern cafes. Later in the afternoon, travel to the small temple at Yatagala, and receive a special marriage blessing. See the Buddha statues, offer flowers and light incense during your visit, which will include a blessing from the temple monks.
Today you will be driven to Aditya Resort, Rathgama, a boutique hotel set in a beautiful private beachside location. Spacious and luxurious, the hotel rooms are all unique in layout and decorated with authentic art and antiques from Sri Lanka and the region. Your suite will include a private plunge pool, individual courtyard and private gardens.

We stayed in a tea plantation overlooking Kandy and it was nothing short of magical. They had a local contact follow up with us twice to make sure were ok and had everything planned for. We had a good mix of tourist attractions lined up but also were able to make decisions on the fly and stop for fresh coconut milk on the roadside (which was super authentic)!
