ACCOMMODATION

Comfortable

Sri Lanka is home to a broad range of accommodation with a style that is distinctly the country’s own. Often inspired by the nation’s revered architect Geoffrey Bawa and his world-renowned style of Tropical Modernism, accommodation in Sri Lanka draws influence from, and works with, its beautiful natural environment and tropical surrounds.

From restored colonial tea bungalows to beachside retreats, to heritage hotels and boutique villas – there’s a place to stay in Sri Lanka to suit everyone. We are pleased to offer you three categories of accommodation for your tour of Sri Lanka, though many of our itineraries are based on our middle, or superior category.

Lake Lodge Colombo

Lake Lodge is located in a central but peaceful location of Sri Lanka’s capital. A small boutique hotel of just twelve stylish rooms in a serene courtyard setting, it features a rooftop terrace with lake views and restaurant. The rooms are simple but elegant in their furnishings and design.

Kandyan Manor Kandy

Kandyan Manor is a traditional Kandyan home now converted into a small guesthouse in the hills outside of Kandy. Its eight rooms feature bright and cheerful painted walls and furnishings, some set around a small courtyard pool. A highlight of a stay here is a Sri Lankan cooking class led by host Suzie on her traditional wood fired stove.

Mango House Galle

Mango House is a charming guesthouse of just seven rooms set amongst mango and palm trees. The property features a leafy garden, courtyard and private balconies – giving you plenty of places to relax. Once a cinnamon factory, the property has been lovingly restored into a boutique hotel that blends colonial-era architecture with contemporary design in the heart of Galle Fort.

Palm Paradise Cabanas Tangalle

Palm Paradise Cabanas is located at Tangalle on Sri Lanka’s south coast. The property offers two room types: rustic, timber nonair- conditioned cabanas with private bathrooms and the larger air-conditioned villas with all modern amenities. The resort has a pool, bar, restaurant and massage services and is located on Tangalle beach.

Notary’s House - near Colombo Airport

Notary’s House is a six-room boutique property set amid a large garden and coconut grove that features a lovely swimming pool. Each room has a private verandah overlooking the lake. Designed with wide-open common spaces and surrounded by nature, Notary’s House is a perfect place to stay to get a sense of an idyllic rural Sri Lanka and is a leisurely way to settle into your time in the country after a long flight.
